There were a lot of entries, most encouragingly submitted by a large number of members, some of them for the first time.

In spite of the rain and wind, the exhibits were of a good quality. Annie Guilfoyle, our speaker and RHS Chelsea judge, said she had found the judging difficult, having to decide between so many good entries.

The prizes were more widely spread than ever before.
The ten First Prizes were won by nine different members.
The overall winner with the most points across the whole Competition was Marilyn Hart.
